Part-time Private Duty Nurse (Mountain View Elementary)

The Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District is seeking a part-time private duty nurse for a student at Mountain View Elementary.  Applicant must be a R.N. or L.P.N.  The nurse will provide one-on-one care and patient interaction, be responsible for vital signs and physical assessments, administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, and documentation of patient's ongoing condition.  G-tubes, trach and vent care is possible.  Nurse must be willing to ride the school bus with the student.   Nurse will not provide in-home care.   

Terms of Employment:  12-14 hours/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Hourly Wage:  $20/hour

Special Education Paraprofessional (Mountain View Elementary)

We are looking for a Paraprofessional to join our team and assist in the management and organization of a classroom, beginning January 2, 2024. You will provide positive guidance for students, attending to their physical needs as well as academics and emotional wellbeing. You will also provide  much-needed support during instruction time. If you enjoy interacting with students and supporting teachers and educators, we’d like to interview you.

You will work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction on reading, writing, math, and other education related activities as assigned by teachers’ directions.  You will work with students with emotional and behavioral needs.

You should show flexibility, patience, and a genuine caring attitude towards students. At a minimum, you must hold a substitute certificate.
