The Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District has partnered with the City of Mountain View to improve the local tennis courts. These courts are used by our Liberty High School tennis team, and we’re excited to share this space with our community!
A big thank you to Mayor McCann and the City of Mountain View for their continued support and dedication to our schools.

6th Graders and Parents: Save the Date!

A HUGE congratulations to Teytam McClellan and Taylor Manley for placing 4th at Educators Rising Nationals in the Pre-K Children’s Literature division! Competing against over 50 of the very best from across the country and earning a top-5 finish is nothing short of astounding. Your hard work, creativity, and passion for early literacy shone through, and we couldn’t be prouder of this amazing feat!
To all of our other national competitors: while the results may not have gone our way in every division, making it to nationals is itself a tremendous accomplishment. You represented us with excellence, dedication, and heart—and that is something to celebrate! We are so proud of each and every one of you.

National Recognition for Liberty’s Taylen Luster!
We are thrilled to share that Taylen Luster has placed 2nd in the nation in the 9th Grade French competition at the National BETA Convention in Orlando, Florida!
This is an outstanding accomplishment that reflects Taylen’s hard work, academic talent, and dedication. Competing—and placing—at the national level is no small feat, and we are incredibly proud of this achievement!
Taylen was one of eight Liberty students who earned the honor of attending this prestigious event, where top BETA members from across the country come together to compete, lead, and grow. Just being selected to attend the National BETA Convention is a mark of excellence—and Taylen’s performance truly raised the bar.
Way to go, Taylen! You’ve made Liberty and the entire MVBT community proud!

Our middle school summer school students had a great experience visiting West Plains Bank!
They received a behind-the-scenes tour, learned how a bank operates, and gained valuable financial knowledge. A big thank you to West Plains Bank for welcoming our students and investing in their future!

We know that summer break can be a challenging time for some families when it comes to putting meals on the table. Thankfully, there are resources available to help!
Here are two great options to ensure your children have access to healthy meals while school is out:
Summer EBT (Sun Bucks)
Families who qualify can receive additional grocery benefits to help buy food for their children this summer.
Summer Feeding Program (First Come First Serve)
Birch Tree Life360
Please share this information with anyone who might benefit. Let’s make sure no child goes hungry this summer!

Let’s hear it for five of our rockstar bus drivers who didn’t miss a single day during the 2024-2025 school year! Everyday they were there, with smiles, safe rides, and a whole lot of heart. We’re so lucky to have them on our team!

Good luck and safe travels!

A hardworking group of students have been busy all summer improving our school grounds and facilities as part of a summer work program. While the school is proud to serve as a worksite for this program, these students are employed and paid through the program itself—not by the school.
They’ve been tackling everything from landscaping to cleanup, putting in great effort—and it shows! Today, they took a quick break to snap a few pictures—some serious, some not so serious! Make no mistake—they’ve been all business when it comes to getting the job done.
We also want to thank Mr. Paul Whittier and Mr. Matthew Ledgerwood for supervising and supporting the team throughout the summer.
We appreciate their hard work and the pride they bring to our district. Thank you for making a difference this summer!
