We are excited for our trip to the Final Four game on Friday at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia! Game time is 4:00!

Please review the picture below for a list of items that cannot be brought into the arena. These guidelines come directly from the venue and will help make entry into the game quicker and smoother for everyone.

We appreciate your help in making this a great experience for our students!

Mizzou

As we head into the 4th quarter of the school year, we want to share an important calendar update with our families.

Due to two non-emergency related closures, we will be making up those days on the following dates:

• March 23 will be a make-up day for the day school was dismissed for a teacher’s funeral.
• April 13 will be a make-up day for the day we will miss this Friday when many of our students and staff attend the Final Four game in Columbia.

Tuesday marks the first day of 4th quarter, and we have a lot of great activities and learning opportunities ahead for our students. As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we encourage everyone to make attendance a priority.

Let’s work together to finish the year strong!

The basketball boys are 1 step away from a MSHSAA Final 4 appearance next Friday in Columbia. Tomorrow they will take on Skyline at Republic High School, game time 1:00 pm. Tomorrow morning, the bus will leave LHS at 9:20. The bus is going to head through town and turn left down Elm, heading downtown. They will make a right on 1st before heading back up to 60 on Pine. If you would like to cheer the Eagles on, please come out and wish them luck as they head out tomorrow morning.
Reminder that it is digital tickets tomorrow.

We want your comments! How can we celebrate students more, boost bus safety, improve attendance, improve instructional practices, and make pick-up procedures, parent conferences, and communication even better?  What are some things we are doing a great job with?  What are some things we need to get better at?

Drop your comments in this form.  Let’s make MVBT schools stronger together!

The boys district games in Cabool will not be streamed. Cabool has had issues with their internet and they have informed us that these games will not be on MSHSAA TV and or HUDL.

We are going to have to make some changes to the elementary boys basketball season. I have spoken with the coaches and the turnout between 4th, 5th and 6th grade was around 75 total kids. Only being able to play 5 kids at a time is going to make it really tough for our students to get what they really need out of the season.
We are going to scrap this plan for traditional practices and a few games and go for something that gets everyone involved and learning. The current practice schedule will change, he will make a return trip to BTE and MVE with more details.

Varsity girls vs Cuba tonight at 5 pm, JV boys and Varsity boys will play Licking after. At each halftime we will be recognizing some of our youth center teams. We would also like to offer free admission and a free popcorn for those students.

Even though we are not in school today due to weather, we still want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate our amazing school counselors. Today has been designated as Counselor Appreciation Day at MVBT, and it also falls during National School Counselor Week.

Our counselors play a vital role in supporting our students—academically, socially, and emotionally. They listen, encourage, guide, and advocate for our kids every single day, often in ways that go unseen.

Please join us in giving a BIG shout-out and heartfelt thank you to our school counselors. We appreciate all that you do for our students, families, and staff!
