LMS Parents: Save the Date!
Liberty Eagles 2024-2025 School Calendar (Adopted by the Board of Education on 2-22-24)
May is a busy time of the year, so Save the Date! LMS will hold an 8th Grade Promotion on May 21, at 6:00 pm. Family, friends, and community members are welcome. Moore information to follow!
On February 27th and 28th Paige McBride and Teytam McClellan participated in FCCLA Legislative Shadowing at our state capitol. Only 48 Juniors and Seniors across Missouri’s FCCLA chapters were chosen for this event. While at the capitol, they spent the day in the office of their designated legislator. They got a firsthand glimpse of how our state government operates daily, were able to view the house in session, and toured the Supreme Court Building. We are incredibly proud of how Paige and Teytam represented MVBT and FCCLA at the capitol!
MVBT Band and Choir had a showcase together on February 29. Students and directors did an amazing job.
Today, LHS presented Mr. Hoagland, Mr. Daniels and Charlotte with buckets of gratitude to replace their buckets of water. (On Tuesday, when the LHS well went down, these three carried and poured several buckets of water in our restrooms.)
We want to take a moment and honor one of our beloved school board members for achieving her Master Board Member Certification from MSBA! In addition to sitting on our school board, Mrs. Mantel serves as our board delegate to MSBA and is the Region 15 Representative to the Board of Directors for MSBA! Mrs. Mantel works tirelessly for the staff and students of Mountain View-Birch Tree, and for all public school students throughout the state of Missouri, and we want to congratulate her on this outstanding achievement. Thank you for all that you do!!
Watch out Picasso, our math whizzes are shaving their way to mastery with foam-formed figures on their desks! Mr. Medina's 7th grade math students reviewed 3D math figures with shaving cream while learning about plane figures.
Mark your calendars! Elementary Spring Music Concert for MVE and BTE will be held on the evening of March 22nd at Liberty High School. We're excited to get ALL elementary students together in a venue large enough to hold our student body and patrons from our communities! You'll see on the flyer that the grade levels are divided into two different time slots to allow some time for parents of young students to leave during intermission if you so choose. We look forward to seeing everyone on March 22nd!
This morning, we experienced a situation in the high school parking lot involving an upset parent. We want to reassure you that no threats were made towards our students, and everyone is safe. We have contacted the MVPD (Mountain View Police Department), who have been extremely helpful in addressing the situation and ensuring the safety of our students and staff. This situation has been taken care of. Our students and staff are safe. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Celebrating 100 Days at LMS! We played lunchtime games and the staff earned 100 Grand for able listing 100 ways we show our Eagle Pride!
One of the LMS mantras is "The person doing the talking is the person learning!" Today in Mrs. Smith's 8th grade social studies class, students were randomly grouped to research topics. Student roles changes as they worked around the room.
